Beyond the concept of sun and sand all year the city offers: exhibitions, concerts, popular fiestas, sports and international events - Dance in May, Jazz in July and the Film Festival in September. A short distance away: surf in Biarritz, skiing in the Pyrenees, the Pilgrims Route to Santiago, the wine cellars of Rioja and the avant-garde Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao.
